Not long ago, our owner Chris was called out to a North Texas customer’s home to provide a quote for replacing their camera system. The homeowner believed the system had malfunctioned and was prepared for an expensive replacement. When Chris arrived, the customer showed him the error message they were seeing when trying to view the camera feed.
After a quick inspection, Chris found that the issue wasn’t with the cameras at all. The problem was simply a loose HDMI connection between the recorder and monitor. In just a few minutes, he had the cameras working perfectly again—no replacement needed.
The homeowner, both relieved and a little embarrassed, asked how much she owed for the service. Chris assured her that there was no charge—it was a simple fix.
Grateful for his help, the homeowner disappeared down the hall and returned with two packs of chocolate as a thank-you gift for Chris and his team. Though it wasn’t the usual form of payment, it was a sweet gesture that Chris appreciated.
Later that day, the homeowner left a glowing review for Protectus Security, adding an extra touch of satisfaction to an already rewarding afternoon.
